This study aims to propose a theoretical framework based on Institutional Theory in order implement clinical-academic nursing careers (CAC), since nurses who combine care work with research tend share best clinical practices their colleagues, students and even teachers.Method: The literature CAC careers, evidence-based practice (EBP), health errors, continuing education, communities of was examined.Theoretical foundation: As support, we adopted about CAC, practice, errors healthcare, Theory. A created five steps. Results: By introducing the use will generate cost reduction, increased quality services provided greater satisfaction for these professionals.Conclusions: has international relevance, as it can be applied any country that wants gains assistance by hospitals well reduction.
